Susana's abstract and stylized horses are painted using a bisque ceramic which she partly glazes and then paints with acrylics and oils.

Her approach to painting is to create layers of paint, building it's own underlying history.

The line defining the horses has evolved into the essence of horse.

The contrast of the texture of paint and glaze overlaid with the stylized line of the horses creates an ethereal yet powerful image.
